Quest ATRInfrared attachment is a newly designed single reflection ATR attachment by Specac, suitable for direct analysis of solid, powder, and liquid samples in the mid infrared and far-infrared bands of laboratory infrared spectrometers. Excellent optical path design and durable single piece diamond can obtain high-quality infrared spectra. You can directly place solid samples as well as powders or trace amounts of liquids for direct analysis. Fast, accurate, and convenient.

Comprehensive testing

The standard Quest ATR accessory comes with a sturdy and durable single crystal diamond crystal, making it an ideal choice for hard samples and effectively avoiding scratching the crystal. This design also makes the Quest ATR attachment suitable for the widest sample range. The diamond sample area with a diameter of 1.8mm provides effective contact between the sample and the crystal, allowing analysis to be completed even with the smallest amount of sample.

Why is single-crystal diamond crystal so important?

At present, the diamond ATR accessories on the market are mainly divided into two categories: one is solid single-crystal diamond, and the other is thin diamond wafers supported by optical elements (such as ZnSe). Single crystal diamond ATR accessories are more sturdy and durable, especially suitable for loading point samples and hard samples; And it can be adapted to wide transmission diamond window panels. On the contrary, another type of diamond ATR attachment is not suitable for point sample loading, as the supported optical elements may cause signal delay and limit the transmission range. Thinner crystals in the range of 2000cm-1-2500cm-1 can lead to a decrease in signal absorption.
